En el mundo empresarial se vive el diálogo y la apertura en el ámbito de la responsabilidad social, el cual ha generado significativos cambios en nuestra sociedad.

Bimbo busca distinguirse por su especial enfoque en los valores relacionados a la persona, la integridad del ser humano y el respeto a la individualidad como base para su desarrollo integral. En congruencia con esta filosofía y como parte fundamental de la visión de la empresa, inicia la inclusión de personal con discapacidad.

El proyecto se formalizó incluendo personal en las plantas a nivel nacional en 2004. El primer paso para la integraciónfue la sensibilización del personal del área en donde se incorporó; el segundo, contar con expertos en el tema de la contratación para realiza una excelente vinculación de la discapacidad de la persona con el perfil del puesto; y el tercero, brindar igualad de condiciones laorales.

Diversas institucioes, redes de vinculación y entidades gunbernamentales colaboran con la empresa para apoyar objetivos comunes como son: la sensibilización, la selección y colocación, estudios de viabilidad y elaoración de nuevas políticas de inclusión.

Parte fundamental para el éxito de la introducción de personal con discapacidad es proveer la experiencia misma de trabajar con los demás en distintas áreas, facilitando así un cambio cultural dentro de la empresa. De esta manera, la experiencia directa permea en los diferentes departamentos de la empresa.

En 2008, Bimbo oficializa la contratación del personal con discapacidad laborando en nómina directa en la empresa.

Este mismo año, se plantea triplicar el número actual de colaboradores on discapacidad para brindar más oportunidades y contar con personal en cada una de las plantas.

Todas las organizaciones comparten la responsabilidad de impulsar el cambio hacia la apertura de conciencia, generar ambientes de trabajo accesibles y brindar más oportunidades. Esta transformación rside en fomentar el respeto hacia los demás, así como en la capacidad de poderse ver en el otro. Con apertura y respeto, se forman ambientes laborales incluyentes en donde cada individuo, con sus capacidades y talentos únicos, aporta a la empresa su trabajo particular. La capacidad de transformación a una nueva conciencia permitirá ver más alla de las limitaciones.
